  2. What a great photo of the raptor on the angel’s wing! If I didn’t know you better, I might think it was Photoshopped 🙂

    1. Yes, it does seem like it’s right out of central casting… but the hawks do perch on the monuments, statues, and mausoleums all the time. I have to say the one that got away from me some years ago was an American Kestrel perched on another funereal angel. The angel was pointing upwards, as they are wont to do, and The little falcon was on the upraised finger! But it flew before I even had my camera raised.
