May 19: Bugging Out! For kids

Family-friendly Green-Wood insect walk. (Registration required; $25/$20/$5.)

May 25: Naval Cemetery Landscape Birds and Insects

10-11:30. Brooklyn Bird Club members have priority. (Free. Registration required.)

Need an enthusiastic guide to urban nature? I’ve led group tours for Green-Wood Cemetery (bugs), the Brooklyn Bird Club (birds, bugs), NYC Wildflower Week (pollinators), Brooklyn Bridge Park (pollinators), and the NWF Eco-Schools Program (critters in general for elementary school children). April 22: Earth Day Snail Safari 

In conjunction with artist David Colosi’s Snaileidolia exhibit (April 15-May 26) at Open Source, I’ll be jointing David for a hunt for snails in Brooklyn. (Free; registration limited to 15 people.)

April 30: City Nature Challenge Event at Green-Wood.

I’ll be one of the naturalists on hand to help with identifications. (Free, registration required.)
