For what it’s worth, I’ve seen very few butterflies this year except for cabbage whites and an occasional small blue – probably summer azure.
Lots and lots of butterflies this summer, including Monarchs, here in Corning, N.Y.!

Last year at this time, I had 10 Monarch caterpillars. This year, I only had 3. Only one survived to become a butterfly. 😥
