Problem: fit the twig into the nest hole.I don’t know how this dilemma was resolved, because I heard a Common Raven and was instantly off in search of that bird.
I can imagine the bird with the stick poking it in the hole while the mate is inside to grab it. Or, discarding the log because it’s just too big. The mate thinks “The dumb cluck just has no sense of size or spatial awareness”.
