Henslow Sparrow

In Green-Wood since Sunday.
Eating, eating, eating.
Centronyx henslowii used to be a bird of the east coast, before our farms were all abandoned and re-forested. Now it’s rare here and isn’t a breeder.
Named by Audubon in honor of Thomas Henslow, a Cambridge botany professor who also taught Darwin.
