Starting out from Brooklyn, an amateur naturalist explores our world.

An informal group of us are getting together today for a micro-mini bioblitz in Prospect Park. We’re going to see how long it takes us to identify 150 species — 
including plants, 
fungi, 
insects, 
reptiles & amphibians
birds,
& mammals — in honor of the park’s 150 years of vital importance to the non-human.

Yes! Eventually… a fair amount of research to see what we found to come.
When will the bio-blitz happen?
Since this was unofficial for fun, we kept to a small group of five and are now recovering. Hot out there!
