    In 1944 my mother use to take me to sunset park to play and make sand castles. When the war was over tables and food lined the sidewalk, I was barely 4 but remember it so clearly. Dad came home and we moved to Fort Totten. Many Sundays and part of my summers were spent visiting family living in Bayridge/

    1. Thank you. This one was easy, though, it’s right across the street. Going to make a point of taking more portraits of this lively tree in the coming months. Next up should be a leafless shot.
