The Upper Pool in Prospect Park ~ Sunday, December 4th, 3:15 p.m. The water is covered in tiny duckweed plants, which, like leaves, have turned the colors of fall.

Wow! I had no idea that duckweed changed color like that. Great photo, great info.

I’ve never seen it this colorful or persistent. The very mild fall we’re having may be keeping it around longer than usual.
