  1. Matt, that ‘shroom looks an awful lot like the sulphur shelf mushroom – the outer 1-2″ is fabulous sauteed. I have often collected them off oaks in parks up in Inwood; they also grow profusely on the stumps of cut hemlocks. Yumm!
