Common Persimmon/Diospyros virginiana.

On am unusually warm December day, I ran into an Eastern Red Bat in the sun. They will rouse themselves and fly on such warm winter days. Notably, there were a good number of flies out, and ladybugs.

December 18: nearly 60F! A patch of Asian Ladybeetles/Harmonia axyridis.

Owls are famous for the pellets of undigestible bones and fur they regurgitate up, both other birds do it as well. Gulls, kingfishers, and raptors, to name a few. I suspect a Cooper’s Hawk here. This has Northern Flicker feathers attached, embedded.

Or, I’ve got some nutmeat and I think I’ll stash it.
