I was planning to use some of my many photos from Thursday and Friday today. There were LOTS of birds in Green-Wood. But I haven’t gotten to editing and downloading the hundreds of images I took, so in the meantime, enjoy this molting Wood Duck, who hid here for at least a week.

On Monday, the big gassy planet was as close to us as it has been since 1963. It will not be this close again for more than a century. You can still check it out: a good pair of binoculars or spotting scope may allow you to see the moons, at the least, and perhaps…
