…but the ostensible reasons for this post are the close-ups I managed to get of the feathery bristles around this (very obliging) Phoebe’s bill.

…but the ostensible reasons for this post are the close-ups I managed to get of the feathery bristles around this (very obliging) Phoebe’s bill.

A phoebe has built a nest on the side of my cabin, under the porch overhang. This is the third nest they’ve built in this spot and there are already eggs in it.
I didn’t know they had a little blue under the wing. I never get to see them that close tho.
