  2. The “design” of the outermost layer – ‘ring?’ – of the tree with those chocolate-and-vanilla inner rings – the repeated, graceful X-like pattern of its exposed structure – strikes me as suggesting the invisible complexity of tree growth. Totally fascinating.

  3. Thanks for your interesting tree photos! It’s always a wonder to see the insides of a tree after it has passed, learning what we can from it.
