If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you may remember this memorable picture from 2015. The other night, I saw this very picture in a Zoom presentation by the Torrey Botanical Society. It was credited to somebody else!

What the what? Not just anybody, but one of Trump’s criminal hacks, who was in charge of looting the Bureau of Land Management for more than a year before being ousted by a federal judge because he had never been confirmed by the Senate. Sweet Nutella, what a crew! Bandits, fascists, putschists, all waiting for a chance to return to disemboweling the nation and devouring the spilled guts thanks to millions of malignorant* voters yearning for authoritarianism. A little intellectual theft added to the indictment hardly seems worth noting…

* Malignorant: a portmanteau of malignant and ignorant that I came up with last month.
