




This was seen in Staatsburg. I haven’t seen one in NYC in quite a while, but they are definitely found in all five boroughs.

As far as is known, there are no snakes in Central Park, but I have seen a couple in Inwood Park. It’s been a while, so species unknown. Are any of the Manhattan snakes venemous?
No. Dekay’s Brown Snake is most common Manhattan sighing, at least on iNaturalist, followed by Garters https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=1264&taxon_id=85553&view=species
