If you, like me, have been on tenterhooks (I hope they’re tender) since we last checked in on the Great Horned Owl nest…

That’s the parent on the right.

(April 23rd from a long way away.)

An arrival of another sort. Yesterday, May 6th, was our first day of Chimney Swifts for the year.
At White Memorial there’s a Great Horned Owl nest that the “regular” walkers don’t know the whereabouts of, but getting updates does make me feel like, well, almost a parent.
Great pictures.
Just spotted Chimney Swifts near the huge chimney at the Collinsville ax factory.
Thanks for being in Brooklyn to show us what we don’t want to miss!
Fuzz balls and flitty fliers.
