
Everybody’s gone snailin’/across the USA. Well, a dozen of us, anyway, gathered for last week’s Earth Day Snail Safari in conjunction with David Colosi’s exhibit Snaileidolia at Open Source Gallery. Above is a Common Periwinkles (Littorina littorea) found by one of the attendees at Brooklyn Bridge Park.


And here’s our friend Magnolia Threetooth. The two on the left seem to have lost their distinctive lips and “teeth” through abrasion or whatnot struggles on the ground layer. Epic, titanic activities doing on down there…
