Looks like a leucistc target for the young hawks to use in practice. The dark, not pink eyes preclude albinism, but the hawklets won’t care.
Seen a white squirrel near my house. A couple of years ago. Also, always nice to see a Moby-Dick reference!
Are the squirrels’s eyes the pink/red of many albinos.
