Learning to hunt must be difficult. Nobody wants to be eaten, after all.
This all happened pretty quickly, so autofocus couldn’t keep up, but the bird grabbed a spider of some kind, dropped it, then picked I pack up and ate it. The hook-shaped thing seems to be a twig caught up in the melee.
