Monarch Monday

I saw my first Monarch of the year on April 23, in Williamsburg, VA. An astonishingly faded specimen, she was ovipositing on Common Milkweed.. The egg by her right antenna was already there.
Stay turned for my first sighting here in NYC. (Meanwhile, yesterday was so chilly here I wore a light wool hat!)
