Raptor Wednesday

Peregrine on very dark day.
Kestrel on another cloudy day.
Merlin on an distant antenna.
Red-tails nesting already. Bird on limb has bands, including a light blue one. Wonder what the story is here?
On eggs.
Osprey
Coopers looking up at different Osprey.
Sharp-shinned Hawk. All of these seen in the last two weeks. Amongst local raptor possibilities, I’m missing only a Bald Eagle. And the Zone-tailed Hawk seen by a handful of people in Green-Wood on Saturday… An extremely unusual bird for the northeast, but there’s evidently been one hanging out along the coast from Cape May to Cape Cod the last couple of years.
