Clammin’

Worrying the water, and presumably the muddy rocks below, this Herring Gull was hunting for clams.
From a floating position, the bird leaped up and dived, rather like a fox.
Most of the dives came up empty-beaked.
But three hardshell clams were grabbed while I watched from a couple of different angles. Come back tomorrow for more…
