Confused Cherry Blossoms

Scattered cherry blooms this week on a day of blustery snow.

Buds packed for spring are fooled by a period of cold followed by a burst of warmth.

    We’ve had cherry blossoms bloom here in Virginia as well out of season.

    Assuming these trees propagate, they might be the only ones to do so in a hotter future.
