Great shots of these micro-monsters! I knew goldenrod was good for something beside irritating sinuses and making humans sneeze.
Goldenrod gets blamed for allergies, probably because its so visual, unlike the more likely culprit, ragweed. Consider, as the bugs themselves prove, that goldenrod isn’t wind-pollinated. Ragweed is. That’s the pollen that gets up in your face.
