A pair of Mallards were fishing!

Paddling up to the goldfish and then lunging at them. Didn’t see any catches…

There were an awful lot of goldfish in the Dell Water. Here’s the thing: for most of last year, the Dell was practically just a puddle, half of it dry and overgrown with various plants. All these fish must have been clustered tight down in the mud.
It would be a testosterone poisoned Mallard with a pair of butter knives for a beak which tried to imitate the rapier-like bill of any heron. I’d recommend a mask and a cape to hide his true identity, but he already had the element of surprise. Nobody, not even the fish, expect that kind of attack from a Mallard!
Is anything done to eradicate the goldfish? Can anything be done?
Hah! I asked some people not to feed them recently. Kingfisher and herons eat them, but…
Pretty amazing that they found enough mud room at the bottom of Dell Water!
