An all-Peregrine edition: a Working Harbor tour leaving from Manhattan’s Pier 11 gave me an opportunity to walk by 55 Water Street, where four little falcons continue to get their wings.
Sitting on the cam was one of the scrape’s adults.
Then, as we waited for the Hamilton Avenue drawbridge to open up and let us into the Gowanus, I noticed some feathers drifting down. This bird was under the highway overpass. It did not seem to be banded.

Very much appreciate last week’s link to the nest. Our household eagerly anticipates each new development.

They’ll be flying, or, uh, dropping soon… last year all the young were sent to the Wild Bird Fund after hitting the unforgiving nearby sidewalks; they were released back on site soon.
