Not what most out-of-towners think of when they think of Brooklyn. Nor what most in-the-towners think of, either, for that matter. But it all depends on where and how you look.
Winter, 2014. The first real winter in a long, long time.
Starting out from Brooklyn, an amateur naturalist explores our world.
As John Burroughs said, “The place to observe nature is where you are.”
Winter certainly transforms the notion of what i imagine to be a densely packed urban area 🙂 Sitting here in the southern hemisphere it is fascinating to see the extraordinary scenes being captured by ‘city’ bloggers. And totally in awe of beautiful photos of the Arctic birds – Snowy owls, Snow buntings, wintering over, amazing!!
Your caption is pretty much exactly what I thought when I saw the photo.
