8:30pm Prospect Park 5th St/PPW entrance. I’ll be setting up some light traps for night-flying insects at the start of National Moth Week. This is a pop-up Brooklyn Bird Club event, but everyone is welcome.
April 27, Green-Wood’s Green Adventures for Families
10-, Green-Wood Cemetery. I’ll be one of the naturalists at this event, giving a couple of short walks to introduce local bugs, birds, and etc. (Free, registration recommended.)

I’ve led group tours for Green-Wood Cemetery (bugs), the Brooklyn Bird Club (birds, bugs), NYC Wildflower Week (pollinators), Brooklyn Bridge Park (pollinators), and the NWF Eco-Schools Program (critters in general for elementary school children). In conjunction with artist David Colosi’s Snaileidolia exhibit (April 15-May 26) at Open Source, I’ll be jointing David for a hunt for snails in Brooklyn. (Free; registration limited to 15 people.)
