On am unusually warm December day, I ran into an Eastern Red Bat in the sun. They will rouse themselves and fly on such warm winter days. Notably, there were a good number of flies out, and ladybugs.

Owls are famous for the pellets of undigestible bones and fur they regurgitate up, both other birds do it as well. Gulls, kingfishers, and raptors, to name a few. I suspect a Cooper’s Hawk here. This has Northern Flicker feathers attached, embedded.
