Two Merlins no more than 75 yards apart. This is the second time this winter I’ve seen two at the same time. The first time was in Green-Wood; this time was in Prospect Park. I hung around for a bit to see if they would deign to notice each other, but there were no interactions.

Back in Green-Wood, on a very familiar perch. Though it had been about 3 weeks since I saw one up here.

A couple of days later in Green-Wood again, very close to that regular perch.

An eye for raptors is always looking for an anomaly. From a distance, this could be a bark-stripped branch.
