Raptor Wednesday

Last Sunday was an epic day for the Brooklyn Raptor Observatory. From the forth floor, I spotted a Merlin and a Cooper’s Hawk during the morning. That’s the Coop above; no pic for the Merlin.

Then, over a 3.5 hour walk, I spotted a Peregrine eating atop a Windsor Terrace church.

Also in Prospect, this Merlin.

And this one. Seen at the same time, they were only about 50-75 yards apart but in the 15 minutes I hung around, they did not get together.

Heading now to Green-Wood, I spotted this male American Kestrel just off Prospect Park West.
