House-adjacent Sparrows

When our apartment building was surrounded by a “sidewalk shed,” or protective awning, for the duration of some work on the facade, House Sparrows started nesting in the space between the small I-beam supporting the corrugated roofing.
This is another construction site on 5th Avenue. The nests here, presumably carryovers from last year, were suddenly jumping on February 1st.
