Great shots! I remember a few years back the Red-Admiral was so numerous they were even going into the subways.

Booms and busts. Last year was a bumper year for Common Buckeye, but I’ve only seen a handful this year.

I love getting these mini-fieldguides. I get a splash of beauty combined with a chance to retain some field-useful information. No looking through mountains of stuff I’m not likely to see. Great photos of what could easily be in my patch of green.
