While perusing the plethora of Picassos currently found in Chelsea galleries (I recommend the P. & Photography at Gagosian) I came across this exhibit of Quentin Garel’s sculptures.
At Bertrand Delacroix until Saturday.
These are actually made of bronze.
I love bronze casting (done a little myself). Have you seen the Deborah Butterfield horses that look as though they’re made of driftwood but are actually bronze. Technically fantastic and artistically beautiful.
Someone showed me a picture of one of her pieces just this weekend.
